Veronika Rudez comes from a fine art background, having received a BFA from Emily Carr University in 2002. Although painting was her passion, she was interested in fashion and its presence in film and television. In 2008 she received a diploma in Costuming for Stage and Screen from Capilano University, which launched her film career in Vancouver, Canada.
Since 2009 she has been working in film as a Truck Costumer, dressing cast and maintaining costumes; as a Set Supervisor/Personal Costumer, maintaining continuity and actor comfort on set; as an Extras Coordinator, organizing fittings, overseeing alterations, doing breakdown and maintaining continuity; as a Costumes Buyer, traversing the busy streets in search of outfits, accessories and uniform rentals and as a Breakdown Artist, aging, painting and creating an illusion of time passing on costumes.
Over the past eight years Veronika has had a chance to work on numerous movies, TV series, commercials and theatre plays from start to finish, having experienced all stages of production from prep to wrap. She has had an opportunity to work with many talented costume designers, directors, actors and crew. She has also had the pleasure of designing original costumes in short films, theatre and a music video. She currently resides in Barcelona, Spain.
